The Czech-Lithuanian Business Forum confirmed cooperation by signing a memorandum and opened new business opportunities.
On Friday, September 5, 2025, the Czech-Lithuanian Business Forum took place at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic in Florentinum, Prague. The main goal of the event was to strengthen mutual economic relations and support business opportunities for companies from both countries.
The forum was opened by the Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, Mr. Radek Jakubský, together with the Ambassador of Lithuania to the Czech Republic, Mr. Rolandas Kačinskas, and the Vice President of the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, Mr. Arúnas Šankauskas. In his speech, Mr. Jakubský emphasized the importance of Lithuania as a business partner and pointed out that the main Czech exports to Lithuania include machinery and industrial equipment, transport vehicles, electrical engineering products, pharmaceuticals, and chemical goods.
A highlight of the program was the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic and the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. This agreement aims to expand cooperation, promote information exchange, and provide stronger support for entrepreneurs in both markets.
The morning program also included B2B meetings between Czech and Lithuanian entrepreneurs, during which participants discussed specific opportunities for investment, exports, and joint projects.
Representatives of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CzechInvest, and CzechTrade also actively participated in the forum.
Both sides expressed their interest in further developing cooperation in both traditional and emerging sectors. The forum confirmed the potential for strengthening business relations and highlighted specific opportunities for connecting companies from the two countries.
The largest Czech exporters to Lithuania include Škoda Auto,
Škoda Transportation, Glaverbel Czech, and Zentiva. Czech imports from
Lithuania consist mainly of chemical raw materials, furniture, electrical
products, and iron and steel. In 2024, Czech exports to Lithuania reached CZK
27.1 billion, while imports from Lithuania amounted to CZK 10.7 billion, with
the trade balance consistently remaining in favor of the Czech Republic.
