The March visit of Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka to Morocco confirmed the growing momentum in Czech-Moroccan relations. The programme also included a business forum in Rabat, co-organised by CzechTrade Morocco, which connected dozens of Czech and Moroccan companies and opened space for new business opportunities.
Between 25 and 26 March, Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Petr Macinka paid a working visit to Morocco, accompanied by a significant business delegation.
The visit confirmed that Czech-Moroccan relations are entering a more intensive phase. Alongside the political meetings, it was also clear that both sides share growing economic and industrial ambitions, particularly in higher value-added sectors such as defence, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, healthcare and technological solutions.
Our CzechTrade office also took part in the organisation of the business forum in Rabat, which was held as part of the visit. The forum was co-organised together with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Rabat and the Czech Chamber of Commerce, and brought together around fifty companies and partners from sectors including defence, healthcare, railways, water management and other industrial fields.
The event created space for targeted networking, B2B meetings and the opening of new business opportunities between Czech and Moroccan stakeholders. From a business perspective, this was not just a one-off diplomatic visit, but another step towards a more practical and ambitious partnership.
For CzechTrade Morocco, it also confirms that interest in Czech know-how and Czech companies in Morocco continues to grow, and that there is solid room for building concrete projects across a range of promising sectors.
