For the third time, the Czech company Chart Ferox received the prestigious title of Innovative Company of the Ústí nad Labem Region. The company received the award for its groundbreaking project: designing and manufacturing five specially insulated liquefied hydrogen tanks, which will be part of the largest European hydrogen storage facility in Rotterdam.
This project is the first of its kind and a fundamental step towards building European hydrogen infrastructure. The award has been announced by the Innovation Center of the Ústí nad Labem Region.
Chart Ferox has designed and manufactured five unique tanks, each with a capacity of 500 m³. These tanks use advanced cryogenic technology and special insulation to enable stable storage of hydrogen at extremely low temperatures. With a total capacity of 2,500 m³, the tanks will be a key part of the largest planned hydrogen storage facility in the European Union.
"This is one of the most extensive projects related to liquefied hydrogen for us and at the same time they are the largest tanks designed for liquefied hydrogen ever manufactured in the European Union. This project confirms that Chart Ferox is at the forefront of innovation in the field of cryogenic technologies," said Bronislav Převrátil, Director of Chart Ferox.
