Jet Investment in an investment company of Igor Fait one of the 100 richest Czechs according to Forbes. Through the newly opened fund Jet ventures, Jet Investment plans to support industrial start-ups with almost 1,3 billion CZK. These investments will be spread across countries such as Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Austria and Germany.
First
start-up to receive this support was company Partory, a digital factory for the
production of engineering metal components. The investment stands at 1,25 million
EUR. Partory is a B2B platform from Hradec Králové, which can manage complex
supply services for low-cost engineering parts that businesses buy in large
volumes.
The Partory platform operates as a digital factory with unlimited machinery. From an uploaded technical drawing, the platform can automatically select the most suitable technology and machine from European suppliers, price the demand within 24 hours, check and finally reserve the available machine. Some of the advantages of this platform are in the form of increased efficiency of the supplier relationship and reduced costs by up to 15 %. Currently, Partory cooperates with 1 500 European manufacturers of engineering parts, and the customer base includes companies such as Honeywell or Thyssenkrupp.
The new Jet Ventures fund is the first in a series of planned venture funds by Jet Investment, which manages assets of six hundred million euros and is one of the leading investors in alternative assets in Central Europe. The plan is to invest in early stage start-ups that already have a market position and solid traction in terms of customer base growth and revenue. The fund is aimed at industrial technology and B2B start-ups that will help industrial companies with their competitiveness through advanced technology solutions. According to Igor Fait, the European industry is lagging behind US in terms of integrating hi-tech innovation into traditional industries. However, due to its technical and IT talent and lower operating costs the Central Europe makes the perfect candidate for breakthrough technologies.
