Škoda Group will deliver up to 70 trolleybuses to Estonia

Estonians will pay over 1.3 billion CZK

Škoda Group will deliver up to seventy trolleybuses to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. In the first stage, they will provide:

22 eighteen-meter articulated Škoda 33Tr trolleybuses

18 twelve-meter Škoda 32Tr trolleybuses

The total value of the order, which includes complete service and maintenance up to 400,000 kilometers and an option to deliver another 30 trolleybuses, exceeds €50 million (roughly 1.3 billion CZK), according to Škoda Group spokesman Jan Švehla. "Following the successful launch of trolleybuses in Vilnius, Lithuania (91 vehicles shipped since last year), we will also deliver an ecological transport solution to Tallinn. The project is a key part of the renewal of trolleybus transport there," said Švehla.

Key Features of Škoda Trolleybuses:

Equipped with an alternative battery drive, extending their range up to 25 kilometers outside the trolleybus line.

Air-conditioned and fully low-floor with modern information systems including Wi-Fi.

Sliding doors and an electric ramp for easier and faster boarding, including for wheelchairs and strollers.

"In Tallinn, Škoda trolleybuses have historically been one of the mainstays of public transport. They have proven themselves as a reliable and sustainable transport solution in many European cities," said Karel Majer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Škoda Electric from the Škoda Group. Škoda Electric is Europe's largest manufacturer of trolleybuses, having delivered over 14,500 to Europe, Asia, and the USA. They also produce electric buses, traction drives and engines, trams, electric trains, metro cars, and mining vehicles.
