This certification will simplify the process of selling the drone internationally and allow NATO countries to directly incorporate it into their arsenals
The Czech drone manufacturer Primoco UAV has achieved a significant milestone by obtaining NATO certification for its One 150 drone. This certification, which is the first of its kind for medium-weight drones up to 150 kilograms, will simplify the process of selling the drone internationally and allow NATO countries to directly incorporate it into their arsenals.
The certification process took five years and involved 200 test validations, over 170 test flights, and around 50 ground tests. The drone meets stringent requirements for flying in shared airspace with piloted military aircraft and other certified drones.
Primoco UAV has set a global benchmark in certification for medium-sized unmanned aerial vehicles with a take-off weight of 150 kg. The One 150 model is currently the only UAV in its class certified under the NATO standard STANAG 4703. This internationally recognized military standard eliminates the need for complex and lengthy approvals in each operational market, enabling NATO member states to deploy the One 150 aircraft immediately.
The company's milestone is the culmination of a demanding and comprehensive certification process. "Nearly 40 engineers, designers, verification experts, and pilot-operators dedicated five years to demonstrating that our aircraft meets the most stringent requirements for operations in shared airspace with manned military aircraft and other certified UAVs," said Ladislav Semetkovský, founder and CEO of Primoco UAV.
