Average real wages in the Czech Republic increased by 5.3% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2025, according to the Czech Statistical Office.
The nominal average gross monthly wage reached CZK 49,402, up 7.8% from a year earlier, while the median wage climbed 7.2% to CZK 41,115. Wage growth was strongest in professional, scientific and technical services (+12.7%) and construction (+11.0%), and weakest in mining (+4.8%) and other services (+5.0%). Analysts said the rise marks the fastest real wage growth since early 2024, supported by inflation slowing to 2.4%.
