The Czech automotive industry continued to expand over the summer, with 186,500 passenger cars rolling off production lines in July and August alone. Electrified vehicles were a major driver of growth, with their production jumping 27 % year-on-year to 401,600 units. Škoda Auto led domestic production with 648,393 vehicles, up 6.2 %. The figures highlight the continued importance of the automotive sector to Czech industry, while also pointing to a rapid shift towards hybrid and electric vehicles.
