Czech automakers built 953,433 cars from January – August 2025, down 2.1 % year-on-year, according to industry data. Yet, summer brought recovery, with output in July and August up 8.3 % versus 2024.
Škoda increased production to over 610,000 vehicles, with electrified models now exceeding 20 %. Hyundai´s output fell to 193,940 units, while Toyota produced 149,219 cars, more than half hybrids, and announced a major EV investment in Kolín.
Bus production surged 22 %, driven by a fourfold rise in e-buses, while Jawa motorcycles fell by one-third. Industry leaders warn EV sales still lag behind EU targets, urging regulátory adjustments.
