The agreement was signed by Serbia´s Minister of Internal and External Trade and EXPO 2027 Commissioner General Jagoda Lazarević, EXPO 2027 CEO Danilo Jerinić, and Czech EXPO Commissioner Kryštof Šafer.

Lazarević highlighted strong bilateral relations, noting that trade between Serbia and the Czech Republic has reached €2.5 billion, and said the event would further strengthen economic cooperation. Šafer emphasized innovation and progress, and announced that the Czech pavilion will embrace a futuristic concept, with plans for the country´s astronaut team to launch its space mission during Expo 2027.

EXPO 2027 will be held in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027, under the theme „Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.“ More than 135 countries have confirmed participation. Construction of the EXPO complex and related infrastructure is ongoing in Surčin, Belgrade.
