The Czech Republic is proving that its tourism strength lies not only in numbers but in its growing global appeal.
Tourism in the Czech Republic surged in the second quarter of 2025, welcoming 6.3 million tourists, up 5.6% year-on-year, with overnight stays jumping nearly 7%. Prague led with 2.2 million visitors, but regions like South Moravia and Karlovy Vary also saw growth. While Germans, Slovaks, and Poles remain the largest tourist groups, the strongest spikes came from Ireland (+34%), Argentina (+29%), and Japan (+23%). A Chinese travel boom, fueled by a hit reality TV show filmed in Prague and Český Krumlov, added further momentum. Experts say 2025 is on track to be one of the best years for Czech tourism in the past decade.
