The Czech Republic´s unemployment rate remained stable at 4,3 % in April 2025, according to the Czech Labour Office. Despite slight regional increases, particularly in Karlovy Vary, the labour market remains steady.
Job vacansies rose by 4,4 % month-on-month, with employers listing nearly 96,000 open positions – most suited for candidates with lower qualifications. On average, there are 3.3 jobseekers per vacancy, with the highest ratios in Karvína and Sokolov.
One third of jobseekers find wor within three months.
The government plans to expand retraining programs and revise social benefits to better support employment.
