Škoda Group and MIND Group sign MoU to manufacture rail vehicles in Serbia

Czech Škoda Group and Serbian MIND Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 6 March 2026 at the Czech Embassy in Belgrade, establishing a framework for a long-term cooperation in rail vehicle manufacturing. The memorandum higlights the growing strategic and economic partnership between the Czech Republic and Serbia.

The agreement outlines plans to localise production in MIND Park in Kragujevac, combining Škoda´s technological expertise with Serbia´s manufacturing capacity. The partnership aims to support the development of modern and sustainable rail and urban transport solutions in the region.

Škoda Group has also proposed its RegiPanter electric multiple unit trains to Serbia´s Ministry of Transportation, with the potential delivery of 25 trains within 24 months of contract signing. In addition to rail projects, Škoda is interested in supporting Belgrade´s urban mobility initiatives with solutions such as trams, trolleybuses, and long-term maintenance services.
