Brno Startup Helps Satellites Avoid Collisions in Space, Aiming for Mars

Brno-based startup Zaitra develops AI-powered technology for the autonomous control of satellites, ensuring their safe movement in space. They collaborate with the European Space Agency, and their technology will be part of the largest Czech satellite, set to launch in January 2024.

Zaitra, a startup from Brno, focuses on autonomous satellite control using AI to enhance satellite operations and minimize collision risks. As the number of satellites grows, they aim to increase the efficiency of satellite management, allowing commercial company Spacemanic, for instance, to detect obstacles in real-time. Their technology will be part of the Czech satellite Troll, launching aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. Zaitra also plans to expand to the U.S. market, targeting partnerships with companies like Boeing and NASA.
