Jindal Steel International has officially become the new owner of Vítkovice Steel. The Czech Office for the Protection of Competition has approved the merger.
By acquiring the shares from the previous owners, Jindal Steel International has obtained 100 percent ownership of the Ostrava-based company. “This is a significant milestone for the company and, above all, for its future. We are confident that this step will strengthen both the company and the Czech steel industry. The new industrial owner will bring stability to the company and, most importantly, development through investments in production technologies, the sharing of international know-how, and a transition toward eco-friendly, low-emission steel production,” said Radek Strouhal, CEO of Vítkovice Steel.
