Czech Design Showcased in Singapore
In Singapore, the center of interior design in Southeast Asia, the prestigious FIND – Design Fair Asia took place from September 26 to 28, 2024. This significant event focused on interior design and furniture and attracted a wide range of visitors from Southeast Asia and other parts of the Asia-Pacific region. The Sands Expo and Convention Centre, located in the esteemed Marina Bay Sands area, hosted traders, industry professionals, architects, designers, developers, buyers, bloggers, journalists, and luxury product enthusiasts.
The Czech Pavilion, organized by the Design Centre CzechTrade and supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and the Association of Czech Industrial Design, covered an area of 108 m² and featured eight Czech brands: BMRC Group (Bomma and Rückl), RAVAK, mmcité, Hunat Lighting, Jiří Pačinek – Glass, Robert Halama, and Filip Štěpnička. Their participation highlighted the high standard of Czech interior (as well as exterior) design on the global stage, emphasizing the fusion of master craftsmanship, innovation, and creativity.
The Czech exhibition was designed by the team at MONUMENT Office, led by Václav Mlynář with support from Ondřej Pechal and Eliška Võ.
Distinguished guests included H.E. Michaela Froňková, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Singapore; Ms. Dawn Lim, Executive Director of the DesignSingapore Council; and Mr. Radomil Doležal, Director General of the Czech Trade Promotion Agency.
Preparations for the next Czech participation in FIND – Design Fair Asia 2025, scheduled for September 11–13, 2025, are already underway. The upcoming year will likely feature a larger space, a broader representation of companies, and an expanded program with additional accompanying events.
