Car production increased by 5.5 percent over the first eight months, reaching 973,560 vehicles.
Summer production was affected by scheduled company-wide vacations, preventive maintenance, and the installation of new robots. In July, production fell by 6.8 percent to 82,547 vehicles, while in August, it increased by 22 percent to 116,703 cars. Despite a slight cooling in the major European markets, domestic car production continued to grow, even during the reduced summer operation, which companies used for preventive maintenance, the installation of new robots, and overall increased automation. The domestic automotive industry once again supported the performance of the local economy.
