A Czech company has obtained a U.S. patent for heart treatment

Cardiologists at Na Homolka Hospital have successfully tested a new device developed by Czech company BTL, aiming to replicate their previous global successes in medical technology.

Czech company BTL has secured a U.S. patent for an innovative method to treat heart arrhythmias. This technique employs a novel catheter that enables a gentler and quicker procedure for correcting irregular heart rhythms.

Doctors at Prague's Na Homolce Hospital have successfully tested this new tool on initial patients. According to Petr Neuzil, head of the cardiology department, this technology represents a significant advancement in cardiac treatment.

The catheter's development spanned five years, and BTL hopes to replicate the success it achieved with previous products in physiotherapy and aesthetic medicine. Obtaining the U.S. patent paves the way for the company to expand into the global market.

This new method could enhance the quality of life for many patients suffering from heart arrhythmias and reduce the risk of serious complications associated with these disorders. Experts believe this technology has the potential to become a standard in cardiac care.
