PBS Group is launching a major expansion in its key market. The company has successfully tested its first jet engines fully assembled in the United States and plans further investments in two facilities and production technologies in Georgia, with a total investment expected to reach up to $20 million.
The Czech aircraft engine manufacturer PBS Group is successfully expanding into the U.S. market, planning significant investments worth up to $20 million. The company recently tested its first jet engines assembled in the United States, specifically in Florida. The testing involved engines from the PBS TJ40 series, with further phases set to focus on advanced models such as the TJ80, TJ100, and TJ150. These engines are used in various military applications, including air missiles, training targets, high-speed drones, and combat UAVs. The components for the engines are manufactured in the Czech Republic, while final assembly and testing take place in the U.S.
The primary reason for this expansion is the growing demand from U.S. customers for local technical support and service. PBS plans to operationalize a leased production facility in Georgia by the second quarter of next year. Within three years, the company aims to construct its own factory, enabling full production of engines made entirely from U.S.-sourced components. Full assembly and testing operations in the U.S. are expected to begin by 2025.
PBS is the only Czech manufacturer of jet engines, and its expansion into the U.S. is part of a long-term strategy to grow its presence in international markets. The company aims to significantly increase its revenue in the U.S., which already reached $10 million this year. Within two years, PBS expects to grow this figure to $100 million. As part of the expansion, the company plans to create dozens of new jobs in the U.S., further solidifying its position in the market.
This investment marks another step in PBS’s strategy to grow in key technological sectors. The company is not only strengthening its footprint in the U.S. but also increasing its influence in the global aerospace technology market.
