Czech Company KV Final to Expand Its U.S. Plant with Over 21 million USD Investment

Czech engineering firm is scaling up its U.S. presence with a new production site in South Carolina, set to launch in 2027. The expansion supports Volkswagen and reflects broader changes in global trade dynamics.

Czech engineering company KV Final is expanding its U.S. operations in Spartanburg, South Carolina, investing over CZK 500 million (approx. USD 21 million). The expansion includes the addition of a modern automated sheet metal stamping facility, a tool shop, design and measurement centers. The move is driven by global trade uncertainties, rising shipping risks, and a shift away from globalization.

The U.S. facility, active since 2018, will support newly acquired contracts with Volkswagen’s American plant. The installation of new production lines is planned for 2026, with production launch in 2027 and full-scale manufacturing expected in 2028.

The company is also preparing for a recruitment wave, including specialists such as designers, programmers, toolmakers, and technicians. These workers are currently being trained at the company’s Czech sites in Doubí u Turnova and Ralsko.

Founded in 1991, KV Final specializes in complex metal components primarily for the automotive industry. The company employs over 700 people and reports annual revenues exceeding CZK 2 billion.
