The Czech Republic and Texas have signed a landmark agreement to strengthen collaboration in trade, innovation, and advanced technologies, opening new opportunities for transatlantic business and investment.
The Czech Republic and the State of Texas signed their first-ever declaration of cooperation in Austin, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations. The agreement aims to deepen collaboration in trade, innovation, research, and advanced technologies, while creating new opportunities for Czech companies looking to enter or expand in the U.S. market.
Texas represents one of the most dynamic economic and technological hubs in the United States, making it a strategic partner for the Czech Republic. The cooperation will focus on key sectors such as defense and security technologies, energy (including LNG and energy transition), semiconductors, aerospace, and startup ecosystems.
The declaration was signed during an official business mission led by the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, accompanied by a delegation of more than 50 Czech companies. The program also included participation in SXSW, where Czech companies and institutions presented themselves at Czech House, highlighting innovation and strengthening transatlantic connections.
Economic ties between the Czech Republic and Texas are already strong and continue to grow. Czech exports to Texas reached approximately $1.3 billion, while imports totaled around $658 million, underscoring the significant potential for further expansion of trade and investment cooperation.
