Two Czech manufacturers to open production facilities in Georgia, USA

Czech companies SOPO US, Inc. and SILENT-US, Inc. have announced their expansion into the United States with new manufacturing operations in Flowery Branch, Georgia. Production is set to begin as early as summer 2025.

Two manufacturing firms from the Czech Republic are establishing a presence in Hall County, Georgia, as part of a broader expansion into the American market. The companies – SOPO US, Inc. and SILENT-US, Inc. – are entering a region increasingly known for its strong position in electric vehicle manufacturing and advanced industrial operations.

SOPO, founded in 1992 by Vladimír Olmr, specializes in the production of winding wires, magnets, stators, and rotors used in electric motors. The company will invest 2.3 million dollars in its new facility and create 25 new jobs in the area.

SILENT, founded in 1996 by Libor Zelenka and David Urbanek, produces insulated parts and components for the electrical industry. The company, which currently employs 60 people and generates 12 million dollars in annual revenue, plans to invest 1 million dollars and add 10 jobs at the new site.

According to the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Georgia, the decision to expand into North Georgia was driven by the region’s industrial strength, accessible workforce, and competitive operating costs. The companies join other Czech firms, such as ALBAform, that have already established successful operations in the region.

These investments strengthen the presence of Czech industry in the U.S. and reflect a broader trend of Czech companies exploring the American market – particularly in areas related to electromobility, energy technology, and advanced manufacturing.
