The average gross wage in the Czech Republic continues to rise. In the third quarter, it increased by 7 percent year-on-year, and after accounting for inflation, the real growth was 4.6 percent.
The biggest wage increases were seen by employees in the real estate sector (+14.4%), scientific and technical activities (+10.1%), and water supply; wastewater management, waste management, and remediation activities (+9.3%).
On the other hand, the smallest wage increases were recorded for workers in public administration and defense; compulsory social security; and education, where the growth did not exceed 4 percent.
The average wage has been increasing for three consecutive quarters.
