During his July visit to Hanoi and Quang Ninh, Minister Lukáš Vlček emphasized opportunities for expanding Czech–Vietnamese cooperation especially in energy, automotive, and sustainable technologies.
Vietnam was the first destination of Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Lukáš Vlček during his recent official trip to Asia. On July 11–12, Minister Vlček visited Hanoi and Quang Ninh province to support further growth of Czech investments and exports in Vietnam.
In Hanoi, he held talks with senior representatives of the Vietnamese government and state-owned enterprises, focusing on cooperation in energy and the automotive industry. His program also included a visit to the newly opened Škoda Auto factory in Quang Ninh and a tour of the Mong Duong 2 power plant, where Czech investment group Sev.en Global Investments holds a majority stake.
Vietnam has set itself the ambitious goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and is actively seeking technologies and partners to make this target a reality. For Czech companies, this represents a wide range of business opportunities, particularly in low-emission energy, environmental technologies, and project engineering.
