Czechoslovak Group has signed a major contract with the US Department of Defense

MSM North America, part of a Czech billionaire Michal Strnad's Czechoslovak Group (CSG) holding company, has signed a major contract with the US Department of Defense to build a factory for the production of large-caliber artillery ammunition.

The project, called "Future Artillery Complex," will be built on the site of the Army Ammunition Plant in Iowa and could be worth up to $632 million. The factory will be capable of filling 36,000 of 155 mm calibre per month and is expected to be fully operational by September 2029. 

MSM North America will be responsible for construction and commissioning, with the facility remaining under US government ownership but entrusted to the private sector for operation. In addition, a number of US partners are participating in the project: construction company Wieland, robotics and automation solutions developer IPS Custom Automation, energy materials supplier DetTX, and other companies such as Cromwell, SMS, Weldon, VJ Technologies, and Lee Industries. his is a prestigious international success for CSG – the company reported a threefold increase in net profit (€526.1 million) and more than double its revenue (approximately €4 billion),
