NVD is a Calgary-based Canadian defence technology company founded in 2022 that develops air defence systems, counter-drone interceptors, and hypersonic technologies. The deal's value wasn't disclosed, but it values NVD at over USD 90 million. Beyond capital, CSG plans to contribute its industrial base, manufacturing capacity, and commercial network across Ukraine, NATO countries, and other partner nations to help NVD scale production and reach allied markets.

The investment is part of a longer-term strategy of CSG to build out capabilities in radar, air defence, autonomous systems, and missile propulsion while also taking advantage of the skilled workforce and attactive investment environment for the group.
