The company plans to invest 480 million CZK to fully localise production by 2025, strengthening its position in the U.S. aerospace market. PBS GROUP’s jet engines are widely used in aerospace applications, including missiles, high-speed drones, combat drones, and target practice.
Prague – PBS GROUP has achieved a significant milestone with
the successful testing of its first jet engines assembled in the United States.
The Czech aerospace manufacturer has announced plans to invest 480 million CZK
to localise and expand production in the U.S., strengthening its foothold in
this critical market.
The
testing adhered to the aviation industry’s most rigorous standards, focusing on
performance, reliability, and safety. The engines, originating from Velká
Bíteš, showcase the technical excellence of PBS GROUP’s products and reinforce
the company’s reputation in the U.S. aerospace sector.
“The
successful completion of these tests marks a pivotal step for PBS GROUP and our
operations in the U.S., where we are steadily progressing towards localised production.
This achievement aligns with our global expansion strategy and commitment to
getting closer to our customers,” said Pavel Čechal, Executive Director of PBS
GROUP.
This
development follows the company’s recent announcement of plans to establish a
U.S.-based production facility for jet engines. This initiative underscores PBS
GROUP’s long-term vision to strengthen relationships with key American partners
and customers while fostering technological collaboration on a global scale.
PBS
GROUP’s jet engines are widely used in aerospace applications, including
missiles, high-speed drones, combat drones, and target practice. Initial tests
of the lower-performance PBS TJ40 series were conducted in Florida, with future
evaluations planned for the higher-performance PBS TJ80, PBS TJ100, and PBS
TJ150 series. These engines currently feature components manufactured in the
Czech Republic, with final assembly and testing performed in the U.S.
PBS GROUP
is building the necessary infrastructure and supply chains within the United
States to fully localise production. “Our goal is to fully assemble and test
engines using U.S.-manufactured components by 2025. This marks a strategic
breakthrough for PBS GROUP and sends a strong message to our American
customers, with whom we have long-standing agreements,” added Pavel Čechal.
Operating
through its subsidiary PBS Aerospace, PBS GROUP has a well-established presence
in the U.S., alongside a strong focus on innovation in aerospace and energy.
The successful testing of its jet engines further highlights the company’s
commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable products that meet the demands
of the global market.
