Toyota's investment in electric car production in Czechia

Toyota has made the decision to greatly increase production at its Kolín facility and have it ready to produce electric vehicles. The Czech economy is being significantly impacted by the investment itself. It is anticipated that the investment will total CZK 16.65 billion. However, with a gross value added of CZK 12.8 billion and support for roughly 1,750 employment, the overall impact, including indirect and induced effects, exceeds CZK 34 billion. Due mostly to increased business tax and social security revenues, household incomes will rise by more than CZK 6.5 billion, while public budgets will get an additional CZK 5.3 billion.
