The government approved the purchase of RWE Gas Storage CZ through ČEPS. RWE Gas Storage owns gas storage facilities in Háje, Dolní Dunajovice, Tvrdonice, Lobodice, Štramberk and Třanovice The six underground storage tanks have a capacity of 2.7 bcm. The total capacity of all storage tanks in the Czech gas network is 3.45 bcm. The annual Czech consumption in 2022 was 7.5 bcm. The storage facilities will therefore provide 36% of annual consumption and about 45% of consumption in the heating season. The purchase price will be published after the signing of the purchase contract. The information was published by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
