India and the Czech Republic signed a cooperation agreement on strategic partnership

During the Vibrant Gujarat summit, India inked bilateral cooperation agreement with the Czech Republic on a strategic parthership.

India and the Czech Republic have decided to enhance their bilateral relations in the innovative sectors and to further intensify professional and business exchanges .  The two countries acknowledge that they are determined to strengthen further mutual ties to address untapped potential for innovation cooperation and to facilitate joint partnerships and projects.

Following a meeting between Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the foreign ministry of India released a joint statement stating that the partnership would concentrate on "sectors such as startup and innovation, cybersecurity, digital domains, artificial intelligence, defence, nuclear energy and circular economy and other agendas of mutual interest."

India has been one of the Czech Republic's most important and long-standing allies in Asia ever since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1920.  In September 2022, the Czech government  adopted Strategy in regard to cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region having mentioned India  as a key country within the priority of deepening cooperation with democratic partners in the region.
