ČEZ increased production in renewable sources from 1.6 TWh to 1.9 TWh of electricity in 1H 2023. Mainly wind and hydro power plants contributed to the higher production. Production in water sources rose by 31 % year-on-year, in wind turbines by 18 %. In photovoltaic  power plants, it decreased by 13 % as a result of weaker  illumination. The energy producer and supplier said that in 15 years it has invested roughly CZK 3.5 billion in the modernization of more  than 20 hydropower sources
