Sales in retail trade excluding motor vehicles decreased by 8.1 % y/y  in real terms in May 2023, after -6.8 % in February. This follows  from the data of the Czech Statistical Office.

All assortment groups  of stores, as well as online and mail-order stores (-4.0 %), recorded a decrease. Month-on-month, sales in retail excluding motor vehicles decreased by 0.7 % in real terms. Revenues for sales and repairs of motor vehicles decreased by 0.9 % in real terms monthon  month and increased by 3.9 % year-on-year.
