ŠKODA AUTO is investing 12 million euros in the reconstruction of
the production line in Kvasiny. The amount also takes into account
preparations for the production of the plug-in hybrid version of the
Kodiaq car, the serial production of the second-generation model of
which will begin at the plant in 2024.
After the transfer of the production of the new generation of the Superb model to Bratislava at the beginning of 2024, the capacity for the assembly of another 150,000 Karoq and Kodiaq SUVs annually will be freed up.
The first pre-production cars of the new generation Kodiaq model are currently being produced. Since September 2016, the automaker has produced more than 800,000 units of this SUV.
