Czechoslovak Group acquires the largest manufacturer of small caliber ammunition in the USA

Czechoslovak Group (CSG), an industrial technology holding company, is acquiring the Sporting Products ammunition division of the American company Vista Outdoor.

Vista Outdoor Inc., today announced a definitive agreement to sell its Sporting Products business to Czechoslovak Group a.s. (“CSG”) for an enterprise value of $1.91 billion in an all-cash transaction subject to customary closing conditions.

Vista Outdoor Inc. is one of the largest small caliber ammunition manufacturers in the world and is the largest supplier of ammunition to both the U.S. civilian market and U.S. law enforcement and security forces. The Sporting Products division includes a number of major brands and manufacturers of small caliber ammunition and components in the U.S. Alliant Powder, CCi, Federal, HEVI-SHOT, Remington and SPEER. The division's sales for fiscal year 2023 (April 2022 to March 2023) are $1.758 billion and EBITDA was $577 million.
