More than two-thirds of Czechs now pay exclusively cashless, as was the case at the turn of 2022/2023. People are more likely to use smart phones (32%). 4% of respondents pay with smart watches. This is according to the Ipsos survey for KB SmartPay in July 2023. If the retailer does not accept the card and the buyer does not have enough cash on them, in 57% of cases the transaction does not take place. A few months earlier, 48% of customers would have walked away. Cash of between CZK 800 and CZK 2,000 is carried by 28% of respondents.
